Celebrate the power of art to transcend adversity with two composers whose works were banned during the Third Reich. Daniel Hope brings his "astonishingly beautiful playing" ("The Birmingham Mail") to Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor and unites with Jeffrey Kahane to perform the Double Concerto for Violin and Piano by Ervin Schulhoff, who died in a concentration camp.
