Artists: Daniel Hope and many others...

From the summer of 2010, Daniel Hope will assume the role of Artistic Partner at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival in Germany. The province of Mecklenburg is one of the most beautiful in Germany, with concerts in 16th century castles, churches, converted 18th century barns, stables and concert halls.

The Mecklenburg Festival is now the 3rd largest in Germany. Spanning mid June through mid September, the 2009 festival saw 110 concerts in 70 venues with 55,000 visitors.

Some of last seasons highlights included the Bavarian State Opera under Kent Nagano, Mitsuko Uchida, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields under  Sir Neville Marriner,  the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra , Hélène Grimaud, Vesselina Kasarova, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Christopher Hogwood and Pinchas Zukerman.

Daniel Hope has been closely connected with the Festival since its inception -- 2010 will mark the 20th anniversary.

Seit 1990 sind in den Sommermonaten namhafte Solisten und Dirigenten, renommierte Orchester und Chöre, die internationale „Junge Elite“ sowie die Preisträger der Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern zu Gast und erfüllen landesweit über 70 Spielstätten vom Klützer Winkel bis Usedom mit Musik auf höchstem Niveau.
